Back to Work After 2 Weeks of Christmas Vacation Sigh...going back to work after 2 weeks off is hard enough...let alone when you are 35 weeks preggo! I didn't think it would be all that tough, but I quickly realized otherwise! Bending over is pretty much a joke now, so picking toys up off the floor is pretty much impossible...so I ask the kids to come pick things up (which it's really their job anyway). Forget picking up any kid, let alone the heavy ones! And sitting down on anything other than a recliner or couch I'm finding is uncomfortable...I think I would rather stand up all day at this point! So all in all, today was exhausting, but I got through it!
Everyone at work said that I look SO much bigger than when I left 2 weeks ago...which is the truth. Lots of parents keep asking when I'll be leaving and coming back. "How much longer are you going to work?" They ask. Whew, after today, I don't know! I think I just need to get back on my normal schedule and routine, and hopefully I'll last another couple of weeks.
My belly is bigger, and I think the baby is head down now. Yesterday, my hips really were hurting to the point that I was very uncomfortable sitting on the pews in church, and sleeping was next to impossible. I had a hard time going up the stairs. I'm guessing my hips are spreading and getting ready for the baby to drop. It was pretty painful, but today I was fine. Ethan said he read in his "Expectant Father Handbook" that I would be getting more tired. He's right! I have been more tired, and I'm glad we had vacation time when we did! I should've just gone to bed at 8:30pm when I fell asleep on the couch tonight, but that just seems absurd! But now I'm not tired and it's 11:30pm. Ah, a vicious cycle.
We still have not decided on a boy name, after countless pourings over baby name books and random names coming to mind, or seeing/hearing names of football players on tv during bowl games...a good way to find some original names. :) We think we have decided on a girl first name, but not middle name yet. Perhaps this is an omen that we don't need a boy name because it is in fact a girl? Hm...perhaps. It's 50/50, so who knows!
