So it wasn't such a long wait after all!

Two days after that last entry, my waters broke, at around 7am. Woke husband, called hospital, had shower and washed hair. Got to hospital at around 8:30am.

Spent the rest of the day in bed, hooked up to monitors and machines, feeling ultra hungry (not allowed to eat!), ultra impatient (12 hours of just waiting) and ultra bored (12 hours of nothing to do!).

Finally, after no regular contractions and no dilation, my gynae tells me I will be having an emergency c-section. Pro: No episiotomy or perineal tears!! Con: Major abdominal operation. Anyway...

Aidan Dylan George Garces Lim was delivered safely at 8:50pm on Sunday, 7th December 2008, weighing 2.95kg and measuring 49cm long!!

I thank you God Almighty for everything You have blessed me with.

37 weeks yesterday. So from here on, we wait. And wait. And wait.

Terrible cough and cold, fourth day today. Ugh.

Stretch marks, meanwhile, have crept all the way up to my belly button - only on the left side of belly though, nothing much on the right. I've always been somewhat lopsided. Oh well.

Went to see gynae for fortnightly appointment yesterday and was told that stretch marks are beginning to appear on the underside of my belly. Great.

Why?? Why??
