I have a 7 year old son with sickle cell and it is very hard when he is sick. You will go through many emotions, and it will tear you apart when the pain is bad for them and you can't take it away. My son has been able to manage and has less painful episodes with the help of the medicine hydroxyurea. This year has been tough. He is just now understanding what he has and sometimes he hates it. He prays that a cure will be found, and so do I. I am not going to say it will be easy but study and learn as much as you can about the disease so that you can understand how to help when there is a crisis. I wish you the best. ↑
Hey, as a person who has Sickle Cell I want you to know that, always. ALWAYS, keep God first. Don't back down, you know what's best for your daughter and don't let doctors tell you something else when you know that it's wrong. All mothers' know best! You mill look at her and wish you can take the pain away...It's hard I know it will be but do your best just to comfort her. Heat packs, massages, blankets, toys, anything but first and foremost is PRAYER. I really wish you the best and I know you will help her get through this and you'll be a great mother to a bright child. May God Bless You and your daughter who I know will do well and I will keep you in my prayers. ↑
Yes, me too I have ss also.Don't worry about your baby she will be alright put it in the lords hands! As your baby get older don't take no wooden nickels from "NO" doctors if they don't your baby's best interest at heart!! Follow your motherly instict if "U" feel something ain't right don't let no doctor do it. Always get a second opinion. ↑
