I have heard a lot of stories on the possible correlation between immunizations and the cause of autism on the news lately. I am just curious to see if anyone else has heard this and what your opinions are. I know immunizations are vital for the health of children but this is an interesting topic - my son will have his first immunizations in 2 weeks, and I am just researching. Unfortunately, I think we are "ignorant" of any correlations at this time - I wish we could fast forward 50 years into the future and see if this is in fact true. ↓

| you could say that there is no smoke without fire, when my son got his immunisations I was assured that it was without the mercury- which is what scared everyone, and he was still diagnosed with autism, I'm sceptical both ways, not blaming it but not dismissing it completely either, does'nt help much does it? ↑ |
| I have 4 children altogether and only the oldest is affected with autism. Therefore im not convinced there is a connection. Also measles is on the increase now because of a lack of parents having their children immunised. Measles is a killer and is extremely dangerous therefore you must ask yourselfs if you think there is a connection, which would you prefer a autistic child or a dead one??? I know which one id choose, but i say again my other 3 have all been immunised and none of them are affected??? thanx and sorry for being so blunt, but I think its important to know all the facts. ↑ |
| I am not sure , what I am sure of is my daughter who has Asperger's it is definitly genetic, her father is very much ASD even without being diagnosed(49 yr). I was immunizied, I am 47 yrs ?? I am pretty ok, maybe they have changed the vaccines. Wendy from OZ ↑ |
by the way, I had a severe case of measles when i was small and i recovered from it.
yes measles is a risk, but i would prefer to risk it knowing what i know now. I have an asd son with severe autism, and i wish he had never had the mmr ↑ |
| thimerasol is the medical term for mercury ↑ |
The doctor that orignally made the claim between immunizations and autisms was actually dismissed from his position because of his false allegations. It was proved that there was no link found. Bad gossip travels far and wide.
I personnaly believe it to be genetic as my sister has two with autism I have two and my Grandmother is autistic. ↑ |
