Is anyone's child taking the drug vyvance sor ADHD? I am just wondering because my son is taking it and he is also taking Rispedal and I am curious to see how other parents give it to their children. Is anyone's else's children taking more then just the vyvanse and if they are what do they think of the medication? I am not sure it is working and am wondering if it would be better for him to just take the Vyvanse alone without the Risperdal. He has been on a bunch of different medications and so far have not found one that works that won't give him ticks.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

My son 13 has been taking Vyvanse for 3 months not seeing much improvement. He previousley took concerta and it worked for quite awhile but quit helping about 6 months ago then tried Focalin made him violent. Now Psyc. wants to start him on risperdal 2xs a day 1 in morning and 1 at night along with the vyvanse. Im nervous about all the side effects of risperdal but my sons defiant behavior is getting really bad, thats why it was prescribbd.

Since my son has been on the Vyvanse I feel like it definitly does work. He is also taking Risperdal with it which I wanted to know if anyone else's children are taking something else with the vyvanse. I am not sure if he needs both the vyvanse and Risperdal and I actually gave him just the vyvanse alone one morning and it seemed to work pretty well alone.
Has anyone's child had side effects from the Vyvanse or the Risperdal? If so please let me know so I know what to look out for.

Be careful with vyvance, it has a tendency to do permanent ticks. Sometimes it will go away, but many times its permanent damage.

Also, many children will become "Dependent" at a chemical level, and when they are not on the medication, they could experience nausea, vomiting, and extreme migraines not to mention the tics. This is very common even though they are not physically addicted.
