My 13 year old has changed drastically in the past 6 months. He took concerta forever for his adhd and it just stopped helping, so we tried focalin and it made him violent (which he never has been) so they started him on Vyvanse and hes been taking it for about 3 months , I don't think its helping much. Now the psyc. wants to put him on risperdal to help with all the oppositional behavior thats been very prevalent the last 3 or 4 months. Does anyone have a teen with adhd or odd that takes risperdal? im worried about side effects. we have been in counseling for 6 months as well, no help for him. He has always been a good kid who has no attention span, hyper and impulsive and great school grades. now failing everything and argues all the time. any suggestions??? ↓
