I've been told to read up on Retalin, and make my mind up wether to put Sean my 7 year old, who has just been diagnosed with ADHD, but I don't like the sound of the side effects. He is already a very anxious child and also has Tourettes Tic Syndrome, which can be worsened as a side affect, looking on the web, Listol seems like a good alternative ? does anybody out there know ?

I just started taking Listol for myself (I'm on day two). If I see a favorable result, I will try it for my son as well. My son is 8 years old and currently takes medicine for ADHD. Althougth the medicine is woking for him, he has a difficult time falling asleep at night. Just recently a new problem has cropped up, he's going through a growth spurt. That means his doctor will probably want to increase his medication (again). Oh great, lets make his ability to fall asleep even harder. If Listol works for me, I will talk to my son's doctor about using Listol in conjuction with his current medicine. My short term goal is to use Listol in conjuction with his current ADHD medcine (so I won't have to have his medication increased anymore). My long term goal is to have him using ONLY Listol after the school year ends.

I would like to try Listol for my 8 year old INSTEAD of Retalin, as there have been many shows lately on the fact that this is an addictive drug and it is causing many children out there to have heart problems, in some situations, death. I would like to see all parents get away from these type of drugs, as they are dangerous for our children. We dedided to try the homeopathic alternative medicines, as they are all natural with no side effects. Will keep you posted with our results.

adderall was the med that killed the boy in canada. he was 12 you must of heard it on the news a while back ago. But that wasn't the only problem the boy had he was on other med. Also people that were on meds for adhd that had died had prior hart problems before and that is why the fda has not taking these drugs of the shelf they just put a black box warning just like they do for cough meds. So don't be alarmed. I called my doctor to found out information and she sent me a letter on adhd meds. So just like any other meds take caution! I'm getting my son ekg just to be on the safe side he is 7 my doctor offered so of coarse I said yea your never to safe.

I have used Listol for my son who is a junior in highschool now and I noticed it has worked for him and for my 11 year old daughter. Listol works but I also had to cut down on sugar in their diet. They also take a multivitamin daily that is an enzyme therapy formula. The only thing I don't like is paying for it . It is expensive. My son was on ritalin for eight years and it gave him such bad stomach aches bad enough to where he would be on the floor holding his stomach from the pain. It also made him a zombie. I took him off medication completely. He is a lot better.
Hope this helps...

My son 9 year old was diagnosed with ADHD since he was 7 years old. I refused to give him meds at first but had the hardest time in school. He is now taking Concerta but dr said would like my son to be weened off because of the increasing ticks and switch to Strattera. Dr said because Strattera takes a while to take effect we give both Strattera to gradually increase dose while using Concerta to help with his behavior. We are trying to get him to take Strattera 27 mg but my son can't seem to function with that dosage. Dr said Strattera 20 mg is not really enough for his weight which is probably why his hyperactivity increases if we give him only Strattera 20 mg without Concerta. Not sure what to do. He is having a hard time increasing to Strattera 27 mg because it makes him sleepy but would like to get him off Concerta because dr says this increases the ticks.

Hello..I am a parent of a child diagnosed as ADHD. We tried all the drugs...adderall, stratera, retalin, etc...This message is for any parent with children on these drugs and parents considering these drugs. STAY AWAY!!! I heard all the warnings about suicide but I wasn't convinced it was the drug that caused this, I am now. My son tried to hang himself with his belt, but the belt broke, he fell unconcious into the bath tub. God only knows why he is still with us today. He spent the next 7 days in a hospital and psyc ward. He has no idea why he attempted suicide, he can't explain it. He said he can only remember waking up from his sleep and feeling furious, he couldn't make it stop so he tried to hand himself. The doctors suggested to continue the medication, I refused. It's been 2 1/2 years since this happened and I'm happy to say my son is doing fine today, healthier and happier than ever. Sure, school work can be a challenge sometimes but I can deal with that. What I can not deal with is the death of a child and I'm grateful to God that I wasn't put through that.

My son is 7 and has ADHD(? I think), along with sensory intergration discorder. He has tried Focalin which caused hallusinations, and Straterra which caused suicidal thoughts (yes! at the time he was 6 and told us he wanted to die and he was going to shoot himself) as soon as we stoped the Straterra, the suicidal thoughts stoped! Now he is on Ritalin, I tell ya I would rather him take all natural products if I can find one that works. I have started to change his diet and I will be adding a natural vitiamin when I find the right one. I am a pediatric Nurse and I feel that I am caught sometimes in having to what the Dr's say instead of what I think is really best for the children. (when it comes to ADD/ADHD). I am against all of the prescribed drugs for this diagnosis. I feel that some children diagnosed with ADD/ADHD don't really have it all, but maybe something else ( like my son). I would avoid prescribed drugs for this if possible.

Hi, I am the owner of progressivehealth.com (the makers of listol).

Listol helps replace natural nutritional deficiencies that lead to ADHD. One such example:

Vitamin B6. Pyridoxine is essential for proper function of the nervous system, so it comes as no surprise that this vitamin can reduce central nervous system excitability in children. Researchers conducted a clinical study where 52 hyperexcitable children were given a regimen of vitamin B6 and magnesium for 3-24 weeks. The results showed that in all patients, symptoms of hyperexcitability (physical aggressivity, instability, scholar attention, hypertony, spasm, myoclony) were reduced after 1 to 6 months treatment (1)

B6 is just one of many targeted ingredients in our product. You can learn more here: http://www.progressivehealth

hope this helps! Feel free to contact us via live chat or by email with any additional questions.

Hi my son is 12yrs old he is in the 7th grade. It has been a struggle from the time he was diagnosed with ADHD. We have tried diffrent Meds and they all have had a good effect and then the bad. He ran out of his meds and i was tired of going through the going back to the doctor getting him more drugs. I felt bad like I depended on them as well due to his behavior being so out of controll with out them, But i made a choice not to give him Concerta any more. He was taken 35mg and 18mg.
I started giving him a centrum multivitimins and ginko. and it helped becasue he was still under the impression that he was taken meds.. I said what am I going to do I dont want him to take meds anymore. So I keep giving him the herbal supplements. I just ordered Listol I pray that this works out for us. I DO NOT want my son addicted to these Controlled drugs they have out here today. Plus he said that he doesn't want them anymore. So its mind over matter with a little prayer add a little Listol and we will be okay. I have faith that it will work....

Be blessed and Thanks for reading my comment

To answer your questions about Listol, I could tell you personally that yes it does work. I am 18 and diagnosed with ADHD (mainly inattentive) and my mother refused to put me on any hardcore medicine before going away to college so she researched and ordered the all natural Listol. At first I didn't notice a difference and was really skeptical. But then after a while, I'm not sure if it was all in my head, but I noticed that my impulses to behaving all hyperactive-like diminished. I can focus on multi-person conversations now and somehow find it in me to sit down and do homework, or take notes in class. Also my mood swings have greatly evened out. Hope this helps!
